I was out in a national park photographing a beautiful family of emus. I knew the photographs I took were too good not to create an artwork out of. I used the bright outback Australia as my inspiration for the various colours. A transparent wash has been applied in a downwards motion to represent the beaming Australian heat. added some goofy eyes to the emus for some unknown reason. This piece is outlining the connection of family in the animal world whilst capturing Australia’s beautiful environment.
