About Me

Hi! I’m Emma, nice to meet you!

I’m from the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. I enjoy running, hiking, travelling, nutrition, and eating. However, art for me – whether that be sewing, building, drawing, or painting –  has always been my most loved and therapeutic activity. I love to see people’s reactions to something I made for them, and feel that satisfaction of completing a project.

I use acrylics as my most prominent medium, however I occasionally incorporate charcoal, inks, pastels, collage techniques, watercolour, multi-mediums and of course digital work. I don’t feel that I have just one style. I get caught up in creating and using styles and techniques that suit the meaning and mood of the piece. However one constant for me: I always opt towards bright and messy! Some of my artworks have very deep meanings, and some portray more of a specific mood than a story or explicit message. On this website you can find my original piece’s inspiration or explanations via clicking on an original product and viewing the description.

Art for me has always been that creative outlet. It’s the only time my mind is thinking of one thing (which is very rare); or in other words, it’s the only time I’m not being ‘hyperactive.’ Perhaps you could say I am ‘hyper-focused.’ Being creative is being myself. Through the ups and downs of life, art allows me to stay connected to the important things.

Thankyou everyone for taking the time to get to know me. I appreciate your love and support.
